From the ancient times gods,saints,men and women have strived to reach to the point where they feel proud, secure and have a free will.
During my first year at B-School, we were asked to set an objective which was supposed to guide us through the process of learning curve. All, including me had the same objective; "To be Successful" no one had a clue what was success. its not our fault. we live in a world where the word SUCCESS is jargonized. No one knows way to be successful or are shown a rosy picture of money, power and status. Many people define success in different ways. Success is power for few and others feel successful in an automobile or any other materialistic ways.Maslow's hierarchy theory defines the final level to be SELF ACTUALIZATION where a person desires to accomplish everything that one can, to become the most that one can be.
But is having power, luxury or reaching to the self actualization stage , Success ? is it that complicated for man to be successful ?
Many academicians, Businessman have defined success in the ways that are motivating and encouraging but are those the guidelines to success?
Steve Jobs defines success as "To do what you love;you dream about it and you achieve it". Sir Richard Branson also has similar views. But is loving what you do is enough to be Successful? Richard St. John, a Success Analyst has brought together 8 ways that leads to Success.
- Passion: If you work passionately towards what you love, the money comes.
- Work : Work!! nothing comes easily
